On Sunday 17 May, the annual SEFAC (Southern Equitorial Ferrari Automobili Club) Show Day and Concours d’Elegance drives into Montecasino for what promises to be a day filled with fun and Ferraris. What better place to showcase the best of Italian engineering than in an authentic Italian Piazza?
Glenn Joseph, Montecasino General Manager, said, ““Montecasino looks forward to welcoming the 8th Ferrari Day to our complex. It is a fun day out for the whole family and has become so popular that we have decided to move the exhibition of red from the Piazza to our outdoor events area.”
Arguably the highlight of the SA Ferrari community’s calendar, the Ferrari Show Day will be a sight to behold and this year boasts over 70 of the top South African-owned Ferrari’s – from the oldest models all the way through to the top of the range machines, including the classic Daytona and Boxer as well as the fire-breathing F40 and furious 458 Italia. Chairman of SEFAC, Barry Simon, says “There’s nothing quite like the sight and sound of Ferrari’s finest cars to warm the spirit on a crisp winter’s day. Entrance to our Show Day is free so we encourage the general public to come down to Montecasino for an unforgettable day of Ferrari fun.”
Established in 1967, SEFAC is the world’s oldest Ferrari owners’ club. The SEFAC Show Day takes place from 09h00 to 13h00. The event is open to the public and there is no entrance fee.
