Brand Integration

31 July 2023 by Alan

Advertorial:
Brand Integration:

Midrand, 31 July 2023 – The integration of brands and on-going dealer network expansion continues at Stellantis South Africa. The latest expansion is to the existing Williams Hunt facility in The Glen in Gauteng to include the Jeep® brand into the facility, complementing the current offering across the Peugeot, Citroën, and Opel ranges.

The expansion continues to bolster accessibility to the Jeep range in the south of Johannesburg. Dealer network development remains a key strategic focus for Stellantis in support of their ambitious plans as one of the largest importers in the South African motor industry.

Williams Hunt is a stalwart of the South African retail motor industry, with a legacy stretching back to 1903 and the dusty streets of gold rush Johannesburg. From that humble bicycle dealership, the group has become one of the country’s largest national dealers with representation countrywide.

“We are always excited to amplify successful relationships with existing dealers in our network,” says Leslie Ramsoomar, Managing Director of Stellantis South Africa. “Williams Hunt is firmly entrenched in our approach to customers and have enviable success in supporting our constant drive for improved customer satisfaction.”

Leading the team at Williams Hunt The Glen is Dealer Manager, Jannie Stroh. “We are very excited about our collaboration with Stellantis and the recently acquired Jeep franchise,” says Stroh. “We aim to keep our staff highly motivated and trained to ensure excellent and efficient service in order to cultivate the Williams Hunt culture of creating customers for life.”

The Jeep range joins an award-winning team, the dealership being named by Stellantis as their Citroën Dealer of the Year for 2022.

Williams Hunt The Glen is committed to the philosophy that “people do business with people” and look forward to welcoming Jeep customers into their comfortable waiting areas with complimentary Wi-Fi and refreshments. Visit them at www.williamshunt.co.za, contact them on (011) 210 6000 and follow them on Facebook for all the latest deals and details.

Museum Africa: Challenges

As of 2026, Museum Africa also stands as a symbol of the challenges facing urban heritage in a developing megacity. For years, the museum has battled with funding shortages and the physical toll of maintaining a century-old industrial building. Heritage activists and the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation have frequently stepped in to advocate for the protection of its “at-risk” archives, which include invaluable architectural drawings of the city’s early skyline. Despite these struggles, the museum remains a vital “cultural bedrock.” It sits adjacent to the Market Theatre, where the “protest theatre” of the 1970s challenged the regime, and overlooks Mary Fitzgerald Square, the historic site of labor strikes and political rallies. Museum Africa is not a polished, sterile “white cube” gallery; it is a gritty, honest, and deeply layered institution that mirrors the resilience of the Newtown district itself.
