EFC’s Dricus Du Plessis Enters The World Stage At UFC

Johannesburg, 30 September 2020: Hot on the heels of extending his partnership with South Africa’s largest online broker, CM Trading, South Africa’s EFC champion Dricus “Stillknocks” du Plessis is ready for the big leagues as he prepares to fight in an epic UFC showdown on 10 October, at the Fight Night event in Abu Dhabi. Du Plessis features on the main card and will be facing Brazil’s Marcus Perez.

Born in Hatfield, Pretoria, Du Plessis is a seasoned South African middleweight mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and kickboxer. He is also EFC’s former welterweight champion and International KSW (Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki) competitor. In June 2013, Du Plessis joined the national MMA organisation, EFC worldwide, and debuted in his first professional match against Tshikangu Makuebo, who he defeated by technical knockdown in the first round.

Du Plessis says, “Every single South African and fans from all over the world. I am absolutely blown away and humbled by the amazing support and good wishes from everyone. I appreciate it more than I can describe.
