MyPR: Experience a Taste of Thava Indian Restaurant in Aid of StreetSmart South Africa.:
Thava Indian Restaurant is hosting two one-night-only tasting menu dinners on the 25 & 26 September 2019to raise funds for Streetsmart South Africa (NPO).
Streetsmart South Africa is a non-profit organisation that raises funds for street children in partnership with restaurants where 100% of all donations go to their programmes for street children. Administrative costs are covered through other fundraising initiatives.
The multiple-award-winning Thava Indian Restaurant prides itself on using local ingredients to create uniquely Indian dishes that are served in tapas-style either as a starter or as a main meal to be shared. The menu reflects a diverse culinary taste of India inspired by Thava’s owner, Mathew Abraham, mother who shared her recipes with him through hours of consultation via telephone to India.
On the 25 & 26 September 2019, diners can experience ‘A Taste Of Thava’ which includes a three-course tasting menu as follows:
Mango Lassi as a welcome drink on arrival.
Palak Chatt, Paani Poori, Chicken tikka Chatt, and Thava Fish Fry kolliwada.
Paired with Nederberg Riesling
Lamb Kasturi, Kerala Chicken Curry, Prawns Ularthu, Veg Makhni, and Tadka Dhal.
Paired with Beyerskloof Pinotage
Accompaniments: Plain Rice, Plain naan, Butter naan, and Garlic naan Bundi/pappadam/raita/salad

26 September 2019: Thava Indian Restaurant (Montecasino)
R355 excluding a 10% service fee and any additional orders.
R5 will be donated to StreetSmart South Africa on behalf of each guest in attendance.
Diners will also be treated to mystery prizes for their participation on social media using the hashtag #ATasteOfThava. Prizes include 2 one-night getaways at Pheasant Hill Boutique Hotel worth R1,750, assorted wines, books, and theatre tickets.
The Diamond Works have also donated two Amethyst Jewellery sets worth R1,200 which will be raffled at R100 a ticket. All proceeds will be donated to StreetSmart.
