My SME Helps The Green Zone Grow from Business Coaching to Over R1 Million in Revenue

8 October 2026 by Con Tributor

Business coaching, business strategy, rebranding, website development, targeted Google ads, and business systems helped The Green Zone strengthen its foundation and create a platform for sustainable growth.

The Green Zone started its journey with My SME through a 12-week business coaching programme. The business already had extensive landscaping experience and a strong service offering but required a clearer foundation for structured growth.

My SME worked with The Green Zone to clarify its target market, positioning, growth objectives, and overall business strategy. The coaching programme focused on understanding the current business position, customer needs, the business model, value proposition, growth opportunities, and measurable business goals.

My SME helped The Green Zone reposition and rebrand its business to better reflect the quality of its work and appeal to its target market. This included rebranding the logo, brand identity, stationery, and vehicle branding.

My SME then developed a modern, conversion-focused website that showcased The Green Zone’s services, projects and value proposition while creating clear pathways for customer enquiries.

To generate new business opportunities, targeted Google ads campaigns were launched to reach high-intent customers actively searching for landscaping and irrigation services in Cape Town.

As the business grew, My SME also helped strengthen operational, management and performance systems to support increased demand and ensure the business could effectively manage and sustain its growth.

The results speak for themselves:

  • Google Ads Spend: R30,990
  • Total Revenue Generated: R1,054,241.62
  • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS): 3,000%+
  • Total Leads Generated: 144
  • Leads Converted: 38
  • Sales Conversion Rate: 26.39%
  • Average Cost Per Lead: R215

The programme included:

  • 12-week business coaching programme
  • Business strategy development
  • Target market identification
  • Customer needs analysis
  • Business model review
  • Value proposition development
  • Growth opportunity identification
  • Sales and marketing objectives
  • Rebranding and brand positioning
  • Logo and brand identity development
  • Stationery and vehicle branding
  • Conversion-focused website development
  • Targeted Google ads campaigns
  • Lead generation
  • Operational and management systems
  • Performance systems to support growth

Closing:

The partnership demonstrates how My SME combines business strategy, coaching, branding, digital development, marketing, and management systems to support sustainable business growth.

Rather than focusing only on generating more leads, the approach built a stronger business foundation from the inside out. This created a clearer market position, professional digital presence, consistent lead-generation channel, and systems capable of supporting increased demand.

The result was more than improved marketing. The Green Zone developed into a stronger, more strategically positioned business equipped for continued growth.

The Rand Club: Jameson Raid

The Rand Club’s history is as exclusionary as it is grand. For most of its existence, it was a bastion of white, male, British-aligned power. It was famously the “nerve center” for the Jameson Raid in 1895—a botched coup attempt against Paul Kruger’s South African Republic that served as a precursor to the devastating Second Boer War. For nearly 100 years, women were not allowed to be members, and black South Africans were permitted only as staff. The club’s refusal to modernize its membership policies led to a slow decline in the late 20th century as the “new” Johannesburg moved to Sandton. By the early 2010s, the club was facing bankruptcy, its grand halls gathering dust and its membership dwindling to a few hundred traditionalists.
