True Clean Launches Interactive Ant Guide, With More to Come

29 October 2026 by Con Tributor

Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) – True Clean has launched an interactive ant-control guide on its website, giving homeowners a visual way to explore where ants may be coming from and what needs attention. The new page is the first in a planned collection of interactive pest guides, with more subjects to follow.

At the centre of the page is an illustrated house and garden. Visitors can select the kitchen, plumbing, foundations, paving or garden to investigate possible entry routes, food and moisture sources, and nesting areas. Selecting the paving reveals a separate underground diagram explaining what may be happening below the surface.

The guide addresses questions True Clean hears on local ant callouts: why ants appear indoors, why they keep returning, what surface spraying may miss, and how professional inspection helps determine an appropriate treatment. The explanations draw on the company’s practical ant-control experience in Port Elizabeth.

Visitors can choose the areas that interest them and open further explanations when needed. A compact navigation menu provides shortcuts to treatment information, prevention advice, prices and contact details. The page can be explored on phones, tablets and computers.

An ant problem finder also lets visitors select where they are seeing activity and add clues about rain or previous spraying. It offers practical suggestions about what to check next, without presenting those answers as a species identification or a diagnosis.

The illustrations show possible situations, rather than a map of any particular property. The guide explains, for example, that a trail at a skirting does not necessarily identify the nesting site, and that sinking paving needs assessment rather than an assumption that ants caused the whole problem.

True Clean plans to extend the collection to other household pest problems, including cockroaches, rodents and bed bugs. The aim is to make common pest questions easier to understand through useful illustrations, straightforward explanations and practical information from the company’s work.

The new experience is available on the True Clean ant-control page (https://www.trueclean.co.za/pest-control/ant-control/), alongside service information and treatment prices.

Museum Africa: Challenges

As of 2026, Museum Africa also stands as a symbol of the challenges facing urban heritage in a developing megacity. For years, the museum has battled with funding shortages and the physical toll of maintaining a century-old industrial building. Heritage activists and the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation have frequently stepped in to advocate for the protection of its “at-risk” archives, which include invaluable architectural drawings of the city’s early skyline. Despite these struggles, the museum remains a vital “cultural bedrock.” It sits adjacent to the Market Theatre, where the “protest theatre” of the 1970s challenged the regime, and overlooks Mary Fitzgerald Square, the historic site of labor strikes and political rallies. Museum Africa is not a polished, sterile “white cube” gallery; it is a gritty, honest, and deeply layered institution that mirrors the resilience of the Newtown district itself.
