Have You Seen David William Hamilton?

The South African Police Service in Parkview is requesting the public to assist them in locating 59-year-old David William Hamilton who was reported missing on 29 July 2026.

Hamilton, was last seen leaving his residence in Parkhurst for a walk. He was wearing a grey hoodie, grey cap with shorts and brown hiking shoes. He has a rising phoenix tattoo on his left arm and a mechanical themed one on the right arm.

Anyone with information that can assist in locating David William Hamilton is urged to contact Parkview detectives at 082 371 9123 or 011 488 6707.

The Rand Club: The Inner Sanctum of the Randlords

Founded in 1887, just months after the discovery of gold, the Rand Club is the oldest private members’ club in Johannesburg. The current building, completed in 1904, is the third iteration of the club on the same site, designed by the iconic architectural firm Leck & Emley in a Neo-Baroque style that was intended to rival the gentlemen’s clubs of London’s Pall Mall. For over a century, this was the “room where it happened.” It was here that Cecil John Rhodes, Barney Barnato, and Ernest Oppenheimer sipped whiskey and drafted the plans for the mining conglomerates that still dominate the global economy today.
