The Remarkable Woman Celebrates a Decade of Impact with 10th Anniversary Gala and the Launch of The Legacy Circle

Johannesburg, South Africa – A decade of celebrating extraordinary women, amplifying authentic stories and creating spaces where female excellence is recognised will culminate in a landmark celebration as The Remarkable Woman commemorates its 10th Anniversary on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at The Garden Venue, Johannesburg.

Hosted under the inspiring theme, “The Legacy We Inherit, The Future We Create,” this year’s Gala Dinner marks an important milestone in the platform’s journey of bringing women together, uplifting female led institutions and businesses , and contributing to shaping communities and celebrating African continent.

Founded by award-winning public relations practitioner Loraine MaKhumalo Sibanda. The Remarkable Woman has evolved into a respected platform dedicated to recognising women of influence. This year’s celebration will also see the official launch of The Legacy Circle. This is an exclusive network bringing together Remarkable Woman Honourees. The Legacy Circle has been established to ensure that recognition extends beyond one evening by creating a lifelong community centred on mentorship, collaboration, leadership and collective impact.

Over the past ten years, The Remarkable Woman has welcomed an inspiring line-up of accomplished women and influential personalities who have contributed to the platform’s growth and credibility. Previous editions have featured and celebrated distinguished guests including acclaimed singer Amanda Black, award-winning actor Phelo Bhala, actor Stevel Marc, media personality Weza Solange, businesswoman Thandy Matlaila, Advocate Ntombizodwa Sibanda, internationally renowned life coach Yvette Aloe, and award-winning agripreneur Pamela Msipa, among many other remarkable leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers from across Southern Africa.

Their participation over the years reflects the calibre of voices that have shaped The Remarkable Woman into a trusted platform for celebrating excellence, leadership and meaningful social impact. “Celebrating ten years is about more than looking back. It’s about honouring every woman whose journey has inspired others while intentionally building a legacy for those still to come,” says Loraine MaKhumalo Sibanda, Founder of The Remarkable Woman. “Our theme, The Legacy We Inherit, The Future We Create, speaks to the responsibility we all carry. The 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner will bring together leaders from business, entrepreneurship, media, civil society and the creative industries for an evening of celebration, networking, storytelling. This will be the first and official formal induction of the 2026 Remarkable Woman Honourees into The Legacy Circle.

The Randlord Mansions: Northwards

The most iconic of the Randlord Mansions is Northwards, built in 1904 for the eccentric Jose Dale Lace and his wife, Josie. Sitting on the edge of the Parktown Ridge, the house was constructed from the very quartzite rock it sits upon, making it look as though it grew directly out of the mountain. It featured a minstrel gallery, a massive ballroom, and a view that stretched 50 kilometers north toward the Magaliesberg mountains. The lifestyle inside was Gatsby-esque; Josie Dale Lace was famous for driving through the dusty streets of early Johannesburg in a carriage pulled by zebras. However, the grandeur was often fleeting; the Dale Laces lost their fortune, and the house eventually became the residence of the Chairman of the South African Breweries.
